Wow, I discovered I really enjoy blogging. Yay! Well, today was a lot of fun, Anthony went to a birthday party for the daughter of one of my friends from playgroup. We had a blast! She was supposed to have Dora come, but the lady who does Dora had a last minute emergency, so Darcy (my friend) did it herself! It was so cute to watch her daughter, she was in awe! I spent the morning sewing her presents, leave it to me to be last minute! This is what I made for her:

Here's a close up of the stitching:

I also made her this cute little zip up bag. I found a pattern online that is soooo easy! And I made these, too:

In other news......drum roll please..........we bought a travel trailer this weekend! We are SO excited! I can't wait to go camping. It's an older model, a '94 Fleetwood Prowler, but it's in excellent shape, and we got a KILLER deal on it. The guy was waiting to tell 4 other people whether or not we were going to buy it. I don't have any pics taken yet, but don't worry, I'll be all sorts of snap happy tomorrow. The guy who owned it before us only used it to go to races and stuff, and he traded it in for a newer model. So we got it! It's got a full bed in a separate bedroom at the end, a couch that folds down into a bed, a dinette that folds down into a bed, and bunk beds. Plus a stove, microwave, fridge and freezer, A/C and heat, a rocking chair, and a BATHTUB, which I thought was unHEARD of, and am very excited and grateful for (try bathing a one yr old in a shower stall and you'll see what I mean!). Did I mention we are excited?! This will make coming home less stressful on all of us, between deciding who to stay with, and $$ for plane tickets and hotels on the way up.....so yeah,we're excited. Did i say that already. I don't think I did!
Anyway, there's our excitement so far, there's still tomorrow...but for now, I'm going to BED. I am exhausted. good night blogging world:)

Back Again!

Well, after a short hiatus, say....oh, 10 months or so....I'm back! Not like I've had anyhting else to do ;) We have been busy lately, just moved back into base housing, if you need our new address, please comment and I will send it right away.

Not a lot going on at the moment, I'm trying to concentrate on my little bag business, as you may have noticed the new section at the top with my Etsy shop. BTW, Etsy rocks! It only costs 20 cents per listing, and your listing lasts for 3 months!

The boys are doing great, Anthony is growing like a weed, he needs a whole new wardrobe just about right now, thank GOD for freecycle, lol! He is soooo talkative, he will talk your ear off about everything! Ayden has been crawling for a few months now, he is cruising all around the furniture, and he even stands on his own for a couple of seconds! Very exciting milestone wise, very sad mommy wise :( He is my last baby, and he is growing up so fast! I look at him and remember when Anthony was his age, then marvel at how fast time flies. He loves his daddy, too! That's what he says all day - "Da-da? Da-da?" He is just starting to say mama, too, which is heartening :)

Adam is testing for his next rank at the end of next month, which will be Staff Sergeant, so keep your fingers and toes crossed for him. He also just started a new diet, so keep them double crossed that he can stick with it, because I know he really wants to, not that he needs it!

The weather here has been great until yesterday, when it decided to rain out our fun weekend, the base was putting on "Child Pride Day", where they have all sorts of fun activities for the kiddos. And today I walked outside to let out the dog and it was freezing! But now I have an extra chance to let the kids wear their long sleeved shirts I'm going to embroider on this week, lol! I've actually been learnign a great deal about the art of machine embroidery, with the help of a wonderful online group called "We're All Still Kids". Very fun!

Well, that's about it for now, more to come later, this momma has had it - it's bedtime. Hope everyone has a great week!

HELLO WORLD!

Hi everyone! We have finally come out of hiding! :) In case you didn't hear, Ayden Kenneth was born at 9:46 p.m. on June 14. He was 8 lbs 15 0z. Now, 6 weeks later, he is 14 lbs 4 oz.! He is a chunker! But he is adorable (even though I may be biased!) Here are some pics. It is time for me to go to bed! Good night!

Weekend Fun

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I posted, huh! We had a fun weekend - Adam's mom Sue came down on Friday to visit with us for a few days. We had a blast! I think Anthony is finally getting over some of his fear of strangers/shyness.
Got some new pics, and we went in for ANOTHER ultrasound yesterday(# 4!) because my dr, said she thought the baby might be big. The due date is still June 21st, although they said it could be earlier, but I doubt it. Baby boy weighs about 6.7 lbs. The US tech was really cool - she was an intern, so she answered all my annoying questions (what's that? what's that?) and was really nice.
So that's all that's going on down here. Hope everyone's doing well!

Easter pics and our weekend

Hi! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We had a small easter egg hunt and then ate candy the rest of the day! We never did end up going to church, though. Oh, well. Here are some pics from the playgroup easter party last tuesday, and some of our easter at home.

After a while, he started to warm up and would "pet" the bunny
The "eafunny"!
This way to the eggs!
Searching for eggs
Still searching..
And searching...I think we found them all...?

This weekend we went to Gulf Islands National Seashore and went for a walk. While we were driving through the park, I happened to see an alligator lying in the water! It was so cool! We've been down here for almost three years, and this is the first time I've actually seen one (in the wild). It was awesome! By the way, alligators definitely like Wendy's chicken nuggets (see pic #2), but they don't really go for their french fries. Just for future reference:).

Today I am trying to make t-shirts-Sue gave me some photo paper for christmas and since we just got a printer I thought I would try it out. I don't have any plain white t-shirts, so I'll probably go to the thrift store or something to find some. Hope everyone is doing good!

New House Pics-Finally! (Beware! Very long post with LOTS of pics!)

Hey everybody! Hope you had a good weekend. Anthony and I had a blast this weekend-Adam was up in New York to take the NYS Corrections Officer test (that's not why we had a blast, though!) , so we were on our own. Took some pics of the house.....

The half bath in our bedroom-there's no pics of our room yet because it looks like a friggin tornado went through it, and I already put pics of Anthony's room up, and didn't want to bore anyone with duplicates.

..........and some of the Katrina memorial built by ABC's Extreme Makeover team in downtown Biloxi. It was beautiful! It was very touching-while we were there, a lady started crying.

Anyways, sorry for the huge long post, but that's what goin' on down here. Tomorrow is Anthony's Easter party for our playgroup-he gets to have his picture taken with the Easter bunny-hopefully! I'm just picturing another repeat of Santa Claus at the mall.....:) We'll see. Then I have my next Dr. appt right after that. So we'll be busy all day pretty much. Hope everyone has a great week!
